Solitaire Siege now available:

Well it's been a lot of hard work and it has felt like I was banging my head against a brick wall some times, but Solitaire Siege is finally out in the APP Store on iTunes!
It's been really well received as well so far with two iTune reviews of 5 Stars each and the amazing thing is that none of the reviews are from me =)  So if you want to see what all the hassle has been about for the last 4-5 months, check it out now while it is still at the special sale price of $0.99 as the price is going to go up after the first major update.  Just click on the header to take you straight to iTunes.

Well the big news for us at the moment is that Solitaire Siege is now finished and has been sent to Apple for approval, so fingers crossed, it should be available for the end of August.

We have also updated the Solitaire Siege main webpage with new screen shots from the game showing off some of the action in the game and included a basic back ground story for the game as well.

I have just started to add some mini reviews for games that I have been playing lately.  They are only quick reviews, but it’s a totally unbiased review as I’ve bought all the games out of my own pocket and I’m not trying to impress anyone.  It’s simply a case of buying so many games that I don’t think are really worth the money after either getting caught up in all the hype and reading reviews and totally disagreeing with them.

I’m not sure if it will become a regular thing or not a t the moment as it all depends on my current work load with making our own games (I don’t intend on reviewing any BadBumble games by the way) and it’s just for when I want to take a break or if I’ve been playing a really good game and I want to recommend it.

Either way, you can have a look at the reviews which are in the Forum section and you can feel free to leave comments there.

We now have a game page set up for our new game for the iPhone called "Solitaire Siege", which we will be updating every week as the project nears completion (you will notice a percentage score in the top left of the page to give you a rough idea of the state of the game).
At the moment you can see some screen shots from the game and a couple of samples of music from the game to listen too.  Speaking of music, we have just added seven sample tunes from Lucky 7 to it's page as well for you to listen to and of course, you can all check out the latest news by checking out the blog pages.

Site Maintenance:
On Monday night / Tuesday morning (starting at 23:00 hours GMT on 30/3/2009), the website may go off for about a hour due to my hosting company carrying out some vital maintenance work, so if you are unable to view the site, don't worry, leave it for a couple of hours and try again.  Fingers crossed, it should come back on line.
As soon as this work is done, we will be adding a new page to show you our new iPhone game currently in production and of course you can always check out the blog for up to date information.

Lucky 7 Page Update:
Well, after what seems like ages, we have finally started to release some artwork from our new game "Lucky 7: Escape from Monster Island".

At the moment you can see the game logo and a couple of free desk top wall papers for you to download.  This should give you a good idea of the graphical style of the game as the characters and graphics are all taken from the game.  I will be adding more and more information and details to the game as time goes on and of course you can always check the BadBumble blog each week for updates about the projects and more information about what goes into making these games.

GoGo Digger - MAC version:
Just to let everyone know that the MAC version is now available to download for people with MAC's.  It's been tested on OSX version 10.4 (512MB) and it ran fine, but you wouldn't expect anything less from the Torque Engine now, would you!

Also for anyone that might be thinking that this program may contain a virus, ad ware or any other kind of nastiness, please don't worry as it has been passed by Softpedia, who have scanned and checked the program just to make sure.  You can read more about this here.

GoGo Digger - The Reviews:
It looks like GoGo Digger is now starting to pick up momentum as the game is starting to get reviewed by a lot of sites at the moment and it seems to be scoring very high scores which is a huge moral boost for everyone at BadBumble and it has made all the late nights and lack of sleep / social life worth while.
Can I ask that if anyone does review the game (or you find a review on a site that's not listed), could you send me a link to it please as it's nice to see what other people think of the game.
There's been a step increase in the number of people joining the News Letter as well, which I would like to thank you for doing that as it's nice to know that people are interested in what we do and it motivates us on the new projects, knowing that people are out there looking forward to see our new games and I promise we won't pester you with lots of news letters.
I've added links to all the reviews on the GoGo Digger page if you want to have a look at them.

GoGo Digger - Indie Spotlight:
GoGo Digger has been lucky enough to be picked by FilePlanet as their Indie Spotlight game for this week!  So if you visit this week, you should be able to see it sitting there on the front page in the Indie Game section and if you do, could you please leave a star rating for the game (currently 4.7 / 5.0) for the game please, just so I can get some form of feed back.

GoGo Digger - Final Version:

GoGo Digger - Open Beta testing:
Due to a couple of really strange e-mails, I have opened the Beta testing of GoGo Digger (well it already was open, but now you don't have to sign up to the news letter).  Head over to the GoGo Digger page for more information.

New downloads:
To help celebrate the upcoming release of BadBumbles first official game GoGo Digger, we have added the GoGo Digger Title logo to the Down Loads section.
At the moment all efforts are on getting GoGo Digger ready for beta testing on Friday night ((8pm GMT) that’s when I plan on sending the invites out to all the New Letter subscribers).
The game is feeling real solid and stable and trust me, I’ve been playing it a lot over the past week and I have not found any bugs so far on the latest build.
I really think you are going to enjoy the game.

Forums:

I’ve just set up the new forum, which I hope you guys will use to help tell us what you want from the site and game wise from us.

So don’t be shy, join the forum and tell BadBumble what you want to see.

Bit of a tidy up:

Just a quick note to say that I have had a little play with the GoGo Digger page so it should load up a bit faster (my Internet connection is playing up a LOT so I really notice a slow page now (my connection can go down to almost dial up speeds)).  I've also set a side a night to clean up the download page and I'll add a couple of wall papers (from Shuffle Blocks) to it as well some time next week.

Of course the blog page is also updated every Friday as well, just in case your new to the site and didn't know this.

New art work in the weekly blog section:
For anyone that may be interested, I've added a small version of one of the new Islands for the Shuffle Block game.
I've also added this news page to the website, so I can clean up the front page (not that most people actually look at the front page, but it's good house keeping).

Welcome back and thank you!
We have a bit of news for you today, as a thank you for all the people that have joined the mailing list and supported the site we have decided to make a free game just for you guys and gals that have helped to supported us.

The game is called GoGo Digger, which was actually our first indie game we made on the mobile phones (when we where called Angry Beaver (still like that name for a company)) and sold pretty well.

Of course we are updating the game for the PC, but the solid core game play is still there. The game is about 2 months away from been completed, but you can keep up to date on its progress by checking out the blog page and I will add a page to the website showing of the game next week.

So we now have two games in production at the moment (Shuffle Blocks and GoGo Digger (there’s also Lucky 7, but that’s on hold for the moment)). So there’s going to be lots of interesting times ahead.

Have a good week and hope to see you soon.

17/05/2008

Hello again.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I have been working away on a new game called “Shuffle Blocks”.  I don’t want to say too much about it at the moment, but for a quick overview of the game, you can check out the Shuffle Block page for a basic idea of the game.  We don’t want to give too much away about the game, but it should give you a slight taste for the style of the game.

I’ll also be working on the web site over the coming weeks to tidy it up and get the blog going again as well.

Thanks again for reading and I hope you’ll come back.
